Prop Firm Challenge Calculator
Shows your profit target, daily loss limit, and how much drawdown buffer stands between you and a blown account.
Position Size Calculator
Enter your account, risk % and stop loss to get the exact lot size for your next trade — same dollar risk every time.
Who these are for
These are the calculators we got tired of rebuilding in spreadsheets. They are aimed at day traders and prop firm traders — anyone sizing a position against a fixed risk budget, or trading inside a challenge where one careless afternoon ends the account.
Everything here is free and runs entirely in your browser. There is no account, no email gate and no trial. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere — open a tool, get your number, close the tab.
What each one answers
The Prop Firm Challenge Calculator answers how much room do I actually have?Give it your account size and your firm's rules and it returns the profit target, the daily loss limit, and the drawdown buffer standing between you and a breach.
The Position Size Calculator answers how big should this trade be? Enter your balance, the percentage you are willing to risk and your stop distance, and it returns the lot size that keeps your dollar risk identical on every trade — which is the whole point of having a stop in the first place.
Knowing the numbers is the easy half. Doing the same thing when you are two losses down is the part that decides whether the account survives, which is why we also build a trading journal that scores your discipline instead of just your P&L.
Not sure which drawdown rule your firm uses? Our guide to static vs trailing drawdown works through the same account under both rules — it is the reason traders fail a challenge while still in profit. Trading an FTMO evaluation specifically? Every limit is laid out in FTMO rules explained, all five The5ers programs in The5ers rules explained, E8's four products in E8 Markets rules explained, and whether FundedNext's drawdown is static or trailing in FundedNext rules explained.
Comparing journals before you commit? We wrote honest comparisons against TradeZella, Edgewonk and Tradervue — each including the parts where the other product is the better buy.
